It is not well documented but xschem also has the ability for hilights to pass through combinatorial gates (buffers, logic gates) if these are configured to do so. In latest xschem_sky130
repository i have added the attributes on input pins of combinatorial gates to propagate the highlight inputs to the output. The result is that if you click a net with 'Ctrl-Shift-k' you see the whole combinatorial path highlighted: In this picture (LACG.sch schematic, included in the repo, design by @User
) i clicked the grey net and pressed ctrl-shift-k. I have done this insane thing also on the whole clock tree of your hash macro and it highlighted all 2000+ buffers...
