@User I know this is a missing feature. If the 'ttg' language (Talk To Gaw) is extended to allow specify the panel to draw into, then an xschem script could be used to send a bunch of signals to gaw. However my preference is a "load" function that works standalone in gaw. This is (as far as i know) missing.
