@User for edit netlist to work the specified (in xschemrc config file) editor program must be installed. I suggest you to just install

gvim

and

xterm

(sudo apt install gvim xterm) as these are the default apps for editing and command terminal. You can use other editors as you like by modifying the

editor

variable in xschemrc (as well as terminal program by setting the

terminal

variable accordingly).
