@User: You should only need to do "select top cell", then "drc on" (make sure the DRC engine is running), "drc check" (force a recheck of the entire cell), and "drc catchup" (for a scripted call, force the process to wait for the DRC engine to complete the checks). You probably want to set the DRC style at the top to be sure the DRC checker is running the set of checks that you intend (e.g., "drc style drc(full)").
