@User: I think what I did just requires adding the command

debug on

to the setup file. That gives a rather large output dump, but each of the mismatched nets, instead of just printing the total number of elements connected to the net, follows that with a list of exactly which elements are connected to the net. At least for my case, that resolved the ambiguity.
