@User: I run metal2 over the gates all the time. The most obvious configuration for analog is to have a row of FETs, strap both the sources and drains with local interconnect and metal1, and then connect everything together with horizontal metal2 lines over the FETs. Of course, it depends on what it is that is crossing over; if it's a digital clock then no, keep it away from your analog, obviously. If it's an unrelated analog RF signal, then likewise. If it's a related analog signal or constant digital bit, then it's probably okay.
