hello, I started a channel ( #basebands ) dedicated to ASIC baseband discussions, hoping to focus on discussions about RF/DSP/modem in ASICs. For those who are interested, a baseband (PHYs/MACs) is the digital circuitry that modulates/demodulates digitized RF signals for protocols such as 802.11, LTE, etc. As a side note, I'm the maintainer of bladeRF-wiphy which is an open-source (GPLv2) 802.11 compatible HDL modem (PHY). I'm very much interested in all things RTL/DSP/SDR/RF/ASIC and looking forward to chatting with people!
