OpenFPGA does need a few standard cells whose layout and circuit topology is different than typical standard cells, which are • Latch with reset or set • Transmission-gate -based multiplexer designs whose input sizes range from 2 to 8 (Currently 8-input is enough but may expand later). These multiplexers are implemented with one-level structure. • Pass-transistor -based multiplexer designs sharing the same details as the transmission-gate -based.
