From my understanding they added support for some compatible things, but they use a different comment character. So you probably need to use XDM to convert some incompatible syntax features.
m
Grr. Trying to avoid another dependency
Do you know offhand what their comment character is? I've never seen something called spice that doesn't use *
p
Not really.
What's the correct interpetation for
{9.8286e-01$Units:farad/meter^2}
?
Honestly I can't even get ngspice to work with my open_pdks installation at the moment 😕
m
Actually, using XDM to convert all of the libraries would be a HUGE undertaking
I have Xyce working on two other technologies that use the * character so I don't think that is the issue
e
we use the star for comments and also semicolons.
p
Yea probably that isn't the issue, I just recall there were some incompatibilities that run deeper than just adding some features. No idea if XDM would solve these.
