@User From my point of view, this risky behaviour of "scale" due to the huge include-tree and the undefined behaviour when it is defined more often I suggest to not use scale at all in practical use.

My sentiment exactly. But it wasn't my decision, it was SkyWater's (or probably earlier). Pulling the scalefactors out of the equations so the scale option can be removed is really tricky, though.
