@User . @User the ability to switch between ngspice and xyce on the same testbench is definitely the way to go. I am just waiting for the right moment to do it to avoid duplicate work. There are efforts ongoing to make the spice models of the pdk readable by xyce, (there is work ongoing both from open_pdks and xyce). When things settle down i can resolve the remaining differences. Xschem already does this for spice/verilog/vhdl. I have numerous designs that simulate in verilog and spice unchanged, i would like to have the same for diffferent spice engines.

@User Yes, please let’s make that happen 👏
@Stefan Schippers Any update on the
xyce
integration with
xschem
?

I just tried to use the latest sky130 models with the latest xyce (7.5) and it was having convergence issues. Disabling RF body modelling helped but still had issues. So I think we really need those continuous models, hint hint nudge nudge @Tim 'mithro' Ansell @Tim Edwards
Ps @Matt Venn this was while looking at your adder circuit

@yrrapt: I've been using the continuous models for weeks now (and they're a great improvement!). Only Tim Ansell is standing in the way.

@Harald Pretl I think i will first look at the officially released continous models and 7.5 release of Xyce.

The first part is done, Xyce 7.5 is available. Now we are all waiting for the continuous models from @Tim 'mithro' Ansell
