`bad local startup file .magicrc` --- can you tell what happened to it?  This would be a file that is copied into a mag/ directory in the staging path;  e.g., `sky130A/libs.ref/sky130_fd_sc_hd/mag/.magicrc`.

It happens in the install of `sky130_sram_macros` . . . maybe it has something to do with the version of the SRAM macros repo?

Hi Tim, I've resolved this now (see below). It's because the caravel-lite repo was updated to mpw-two-c, so an install of mpw-two-b fails because it always installs the latest caravel which then has tags that are out of sync

I've asked for an official efabless announcement on what tags we should be using, and waiting on that to happen

also I've asked that submodules are not installed to the latest version but to a specific commit
