without using the Devices1 Menu (by hand)? The lvtnfet generated using Devices1 menu has a pale green coloured n-diffusion layer but such a color is not visible to me in the layer palette on the right.

The pale colors are just representations of layers in subcircuits instead of the top level. It is just "ndiff". To draw the device, draw poly over ndiff (which forms type "nfet") , then select the gate (nfet) and do "paint nfetlvt".
