Hi, is it possible to convert netlist to .mag files ?

@User I don't believe that can be done automatically with our current tools. You're talking about analog spice netlists, correct? As for digital netlists, I believe there has been some work done on generating standard cells automatically.

@User: In magic, doing
File->Import SPICE
is a bare-bones solution that will at least generate the parameterized devices matching the netlist, and generate any circuit hierarchy evident in the netlist. It will not do any kind of smart placement, and it will not attempt any routing. But you will get all of the devices.

so it is all about manually designing the layout? Is it possible to convert the cicuit schematic to .mag files. I wonder how the layout of hundreds or thousands of analog devices are drawn

I guess by hand. At least I'm layouting since weeks to prepare for a submission to the MPW-5 run. For many high performance devices layout is one of the critical steps and an art. Import spice is nice, but for usually it makes sense to further confiugre the device e.g. in case of difference amplifiers interleave transistors (if matching is priority) so I usually add all devices by hand using the device menues of magic.
