Thanks @User for letting me interview you about analog circuits on the shuttle: https://twitter.com/matthewvenn/status/1344332265720066052

If you need help, just let me know

Thanks for offer

Hi @Diego Hernando, great work! I am trying to setup the environment (xschem, ngspice, etc) for analog design. I'm not sure if I missed it in the video, but could you give some pointers on how you did/ tools you used for the post layout extraction and simulation for your design?
g
Good question
m
Maybe it's worth making another video to show how to get started?
Happy to do the editing if Diego is happy to do the demo
s
@Saleh Omar Regarding simulation and frontend (schematic) I have set up a step-by-step video for installing
xschem
, the
xschem_sky130
devices and symbols, the
skywater-pdk
spice models and standard cell files and the
ngspice
installation. I hope it could help, if there are unclear things let me know!
d
@Saleh Omar i'm still working on the postlayout simulations, but what i'm doing is to generate the layout netlist from magic and then edit the file to connect all the sources and peripherals that i need, and then run everything form ngspice.
s
@Diego Hernando I see, I’ll try it myself and see how far I can get @Stefan Schippers This is great! It clears a lot of hassle I was facing trying to get it up and running myself. Thanks!
