@Vaibhav Pavnaskar You likely have installed an ubuntu xschem package. These packages are tooooo old. Remove that package and install xschem from sources. Install instructions here and here
Remember that open_pdks installs the xschem libraries to use sky130 devices, however it is up to you to install xschem.
