Hello, for the final mpw7 submission. Do we need to commit generated GDS changes? Thank you!

The caravel integration script does NOT run openlane. It integrates

gds/user_project_wrapper.gds

or

gds/user_analog_project_wrapper.gds

into

caravel

or

caravan

respectively. So yes, if you change anything that would make a difference in the

user_*project_wrapper

, you should recommit the GDS (and rerun

run-precheck

).
