I am very excited to share that
VSDSquadron Mini RISC-V board now supports Li-Fi technology. A great start towards a secured future using RISC-V tech. Two of our proud VSD student (and literally a second year engineering student from IIIT Bangalore) built a new and simple multi-step authentication protocol for lockers that uses Li-Fi technology and a simple smartphone app to unlock the locker
Here's how it works-
If authentication is successful, the app switches on the flashlight for a secret fixed amount of time.
This duration is precise to the millisecond and hence cannot be replicated manually. The sensor detects this light and opens the locker only if the duration matches exactly. This makes the locker secure as well as cost-effective.
I'm really proud of the next generation!. Watch this video for more details. Next round of VLSI and RISC-V internships starts in July 20
