Skywater's new 90nm offering, how VSD/efabless can help? Lately, you must have noticed by now how 3 passionate organization have been synchronizing their initiatives and goals for the betterment of the future of the semiconductor industry 1. New Technology Offerings (previously by OSU and now by Google/Skywater) 2. Software EDA toolchain development (by *OpenROAD*/*efabless*) 3. Student-grade IP development (see pic) and worldwide cloud-based Semiconductor Ed-tech deployment to masses (by VSD) It seems to be a perfect combination of passionate people and companies, who took the risks of early adoption of open-source hardware for the benefit of future torch-bearers (especially students) of the semiconductor industry. We are happier to find out that today, there are many more individual groups/people who are participating in the open source movement, which helps us (at least VSD) to launch the next big movement in the hardware industry (stay tuned to know more) In meantime, we are very glad and thankful to our sponsors, efabless, for helping students to avail the Physical Design workshop below using SKY130 PDK at a 55% discount (last 36 hours): https://www.vlsisystemdesign.com/advanced-physical-design-using-openlane-sky130/ All the best and happy learning
