Has anyone made a tool/script (even a crappy one) to generate an xschem schematic from a netlist? (I'm fooling around with AI-generated netlists rn. Only thing I found was a spice-to-svg thing which kind of works.)

@Luke Harold Miles @Tim Edwards had some interns working on one a couple summers ago.

Seems like the kind of thing where you can make a really ugly working version in two hours but to make it beautiful (eg setting up current mirrors and diff pairs in the conventional way) would take like 2 years

More like 20 years.

@Luke Harold Miles the tool I use at “work” to debug chip level netlists is spicevision by Concept Engineering (now part of Altair, I believe). It converts the CDL netlist to a visual schematic that you can display across hierarchies. It does not allow you to add elements to the schematic although you can delete them, I believe.
