Hi @Tim Edwards I am inserting my analog cell in caravan wrapper. I found one thing that the wrapper has two vssa1 pins. One is at the top right corner (between
io_analog[2] and io_analog[1]
) and other is at bottom right corner (between
vssd1 and io_in[6]
). Do these pins need to be shorted?
m
@naina singhal no, these pads are connected to the same pin on the bonding frame. You can see the pad to pin bonding here on page 27 https://raw.githubusercontent.com/milovanovic/caravel_spectrometer/master/doc/caravel_datasheet.pdf

Ok. Thank you so much @Mitch Bailey. So there will be no LVS issue even though the pins have same name?
m
Ah, LVS. The default configuration in precheck shorts the top level nets by name for analog designs so it should be ok.
n
Oh ok... Actually LVS is failing while I am running it locally ... I thought this was the reason. I will see what else is there that I am doing wrong. Thank you so much for your help.

Feel free to share the LVS results here or in a private message.

Ok @Mitch Bailey. Thank you so much 🙂
