Hi all, I am trying to figure out how to make a resistor in L-edit for a design using the skywater 130nm pdk. Chip wil ultimately be fabricated by efabless. Is anyone familiar with designing a resistor? Looking for resistance of 30kohm. I have a table with sheet resistances but they are all given in ohms per "square" and Im not sure what the "square" measurement is. Once I know that I can calculate length and width based on sheet resistance for the materials but I am not sure how to draw it layerwise. For example, do you just draw the desired material and put the appropriate contacts on it or is there more to it?

@David Stoltzfus Since resistors are scaleable, they are defined by ohms/square (sometimes abbreviated with the greek letter rho ρ). For example a resistor with a width / length ratio of 1 / 10 (10 1μm squares in a row) has the same theoretical resistance as a resistor of size 10 / 100 (10 10μm squares in a row). Let’s say you’re making a resistor out of a layer that has ρ = 250Ω/□. R=ρ*L/W. If you have a width of 1.5μm, your resistor length should be R*W/ρ or 30K*1.5/250 = 180μm.
