<!channel>: I mentioned earlier that I would like to have a spreadsheet where everyone could signal their intent to submit for a particular IP block, so everyone could see which IP blocks were "oversubscribed" and "undersubscribed" (given that the goal of the challenge is not to pit designers against each other, but to get a full collection of great open source IP blocks). I briefly looked into doing some sort of web form, but it not being immediately obvious how to do that, I am going to try it with another Google doc spreadsheet. I have created this spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Zx24qZ0sjKtLi2l32qYPZbZev3IYUEeaR30hk7oCfbw. I have given everyone "commenter" permission, so you can go to the spreadsheet and indicate which IP block you expect to submit a proposal for. If you want to submit more than one proposal as a backup, then indicate your preference ("1" for first choice, "2" for second choice). If you're still not sure if you're going to submit, then indicate so with a "?". By each IP block, I will mark down the preference numbers. With that information, any block that has three "1"s marked by it is "fully subscribed". However, if you think you will have a strong proposal, you may want to sign up for a fully subscribed or over-subscribed IP block. It's your choice. It's possible that somebody would submit a proposal without indicating anything on the spreadsheet, but it helps if everyone participates. Since I've never done a challenge like this before, I don't know if this method will work well or not, but at least it seems reasonable. The best I can do is give it a try!
