Does somebody have any thoughts about “how could the open source silicon movement drive device and materials development?” I would like to exchange your ideas to instruct the people on the device side.

Simple!! The vast majority of materials scientists and young curious people have no access to any foundry process information whatsoever! 99.9% of would-be innovators are blocked from the field! I'm certain that open-source processes would lead to a ton of fast innovation.
