@Krzysztof Herman I’ve implemented some extra BE checks for sky130 and gf180mcu. You can browse the results for previous shuttle runs in the discussion section. How are you planning to implement open-source LVS with the IHP process?
k
@Mitch Bailey Thank you for sharing the BE checks. Since, on our roadmap, a primary tool for layout is klayout the LVS will be performed by it. We should have it done by the end of march 2024. Next year we also plan to provide support for magic and netgen.
h
@Mitch Bailey It would be great if we could have your additional BE checks also for the IHP PDK. I am ready to nicely integrate it (once everything is ready) into our IIC-OSIC-TOOLS :-)
m
Currently, they are tightly integrated with magic/netgen. I’ll look into klayout.
h
I assume we will need magic/netgen as well for ihp-sg13g2; otherwise, I don’t how we would do PEX, for example.
m
Has anyone been assigned to write the magic/netgen rules for IHP?
h
@Krzysztof Herman would know, I guess.
k
@Mitch Bailey @Harald Pretl next year we will be developing support for magic & netgen. Nevertheless any type of contribuion to support these tools earlier is more than welcome.

Great! Do you have shuttles planned? How about sample data?
k
@Mitch Bailey yes there are ongoing discussion how to facilitate access to the silicon to the community. What kind of sample data are you interested in ?
m
The sample data for LVS would ideally be a gds layout and the corresponding source verilog and/or spice.

The link for MPW runs is OK but schedule will be updated, soon. First access for the community is planed 22nd of May 2024
m
@René Scholz thanks for the info. Will this be a (partially?) sponsored shuttle or just paid shuttles with an open pdk?
k
I am actually finishing our official port to OpenROAD-flow-scripts so using it you could generate gds and gave the gate level netlist. We do also provide transistor level netlists for our standard cells.
m
Do you plan to offer openlane support in addition to openROAD and if so, what’s your schedule?
k
@Mitch Bailey yes we do plan to provide support for openlane. The bottleneck are magic and netgen support. I hope we can finish it by the end of the next year.
