Hello, I'm new here so could anyone please let me know where to get started for designing an Analog layout for an OPEN MPW project? Any documentation on the tools to be used or any information would be really helpful. Thanks.

I am starting to write a (hopefully comprehensive) document on the tools and methods needed for an analog flow (and, eventually, a mixed-signal flow as well). The current state of the document is unfinished, but I am actively working on it. The document can be found here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1QXi2kqWgQ8JR_BJCfUgFkQCSSxetXcnWrDHRJdLBsy0

@Tim Edwards wondering if you have similar document for the digital design follow?

@Xinyao Tang: No, I don't. I'm one of the handful of people who does not like docker or cocotb and I have my own unapproved flow. I have not written it up because (1) it is probably unique to my setup and so would require a lot of work to make it more general (especially doing a local compile/install of OpenROAD), and (2) I don't want to create confusion, as there is plenty of Efabless documentation on the approved digital flow.

That makes sense.

@Tim Edwards Thank you so much for the document. I'll be working on it now. It will provide much-needed guidance for me to begin my analog IC design project.

@Tim Edwards Great tool install cookbook! Its getting quite lenghty, would be nice with table of contents and page numbering.
t
@Henrik Sørensen: Yes, it will get the table of contents and better organization. But I didn't want to wait for it to be complete before letting people know it was there. I am on travel for a few days which is why it hasn't been worked on recently, but I'll get back to it by Monday.
