Hello all, so I’m trying to use this p-well resistor, i wanted to ask what is the correct connection for the n-well ring. Also, here I’ve connected 3 elements in series but when i do extract it gives me 3 warnings so if anyone could help me figure out what is wrong with the connections that gives me 3 warnings and thanks

Sometimes magic’s ‘errors’ are just ‘warnings’. Can you post your mag file and the warnings you get?

@mohamed hassan: This is a bug in the device generator that I had not noticed because I haven't done much verification on the pwell resistor before. At least one problem is that there is no nwell between the resistor stripes, so it is really just one resistor. However, if I generate the same layout and add the missing nwell between the resistors, they are still extracted incorrectly---really incorrectly (wrong terminal connections, wrong device sizes). There appear to be multiple issues here that I will have to look into.

@mohamed hassan: I went back to look at this today. I'm not sure what it was that I did wrong previously, but this time, once I edited the subcell to add

nwell

between the resistors, the circuit extracted correctly, with the correct device types, dimensions, and connectivity. The lack of nwell surrounding the resistors internally seems to be the only issue (and can be worked around easily by editing the device, although I will fix the device generator script).
