How do I set up layer names (as opposed to just numbers) for imported GDS files in klayout? It would be very helpful to see list of layers when doing DRC checks

You can read the layer definition file from the pdk.

File

->`Load Layer Properties` And then select

$PDK_ROOT/$PDK/libs.tech/klayout/tech/$PDK.lyp
