SoC Labs are pleased to announce a community design contest using the Arm ecosystem
SoC Labs is a global academic community that wants to provide mutual support for sharing hardware and software developments for academic researchers innovating in System On Chip development and deployments using Arm based computing ecosystem.
As part of our desire to support community driven hardware activity within the academic sphere, that leverages the best of both open source and license tools and IP, we are launching a SoC design contest.
The contest has two streams:
Accelerating the pace of Research innovation especially where new compute logic or application of traditional compute to a new challenge can help solve real-world problems or improve our planets sustainability.
1. Growing the System On Chip design skills within the community and broadening the range of Universities that undertake SoC design and potentially leading to an ASIC fabrication. We have received some support from Arm who will sponsor participation in a special industry session
IEEE SOCC 2023 in September 2023 in Santa Clara for the best projects and will also provide opportunities to support the SoC development in terms of FPGA Boards and access to foundry services for an ASIC fabrication.
