. In default installations system xschemrc is all commented, does not set anything.
• IF current directory has a xschemrc
file load it. (project-specific xschemrc)
• ELSE load user xschemrc (typically ~/.xschem/xschemrc
)
As you see user xschemrc (~/.xschem/xschemrc
) is not loaded if a project xschemrc
is present. The idea was to allow user to override user xschemrc on a per-project base if needed.
I don't know it fou prefer a different priority, like for example loading all 3 files starting from the most general one to the most specific:
• load system-wide xschemrc, depending on installation it could be in places like /usr/share/xschem/xschemrc
or /usr/local/share/xschem/xschemrc
. In default installations system xschemrc is all commented, does not set anything.
• Load user xschemrc (typically ~/.xschem/xschemrc
)
• Load current directory xschemrc
file if existing. (project-specific xschemrc)
Let me know if this might be a better setup, making this change is easy, however it could potentially break existing installations (requiring some minor editing in xschemrc files, like doing a set XSCHEM_LIBRARY_PATH {}
to clear previous unwanted definitions.Eslam Morsie

simulation card might have a parameter for uic whose value defaults to empty, but it would be nice to remind the user that its value should be either "uic" or empty. Maybe even mention what the various parameters do.Tim Edwards

. Many of these pins don't require connections. But if I leave them unconnected on the wrapper symbol in my testbench schematic, then they are replaced in the nelist with a single wire __UNCONNECTED_PIN__X
instead of an array. If I connect a wire to the pin going nowhere, it works just fine. So when there is no wire connected to a pin which is a bus, it should be generating as many UNCONNECTED_PIN
nets in the call to the subcircuit as there are wires in the bus. Otherwise the simulation fails with a "not enough parameters in call" error. Clearly the workaround is to add a stub wire to the pin connection on the symbol, but that should be optional, and the behavior should be effectively the same in either case.Tim Edwards
