@User is there a parser available which converts Xschem (.sym, .sch files) to Kicad (.lib, .sch files) ???

@User As far as i know there is no such filter. Recent kicad versions use an s-expression format for schematic/symbol files. Strange you ask for xschem --> kicad conversion, I would expect the opposite request, since kicad has huge collections of symbols / schematics, that some one might want to see in xschem.

Is reram going to be included in sky130A anytime soon?

Can someone help me identify the nmos and pmos model (.model pxxx pmos…) locations in skywater130 pdk. I'm trying to run simple transient simulation of an inverter with sky130 models using Xyce. I'm either pointing to wrong location of models or trying to pick wrong model names or it could be something else. Apologies as I'm new to opensource tools.

Hi, are custom devices allowed on the skywater pdk such as photodiodes? I understand it probably won't be extracted properly in the ext2spice commands, but is it still able to be fabricated if we follow the design rules for sizing of the individual layers? Thanks!

Hey, I juts ran the precheck tool locally with the mpw6c tag checked out. Something seems wrong. For the magic drc check I get:

[ERROR] - Violation Message "MiM2 cap bottom plate spacing < 1.2um (cap2m.2b) "found 112 Times.
[ERROR] - Violation Message "MiM cap bottom plate spacing < 1.2um (capm.2b) "found 176 Times.
[ERROR] - 288 DRC violations
[WARNING] - {{MAGIC DRC CHECK FAILED}} The GDS file, user_analog_project_wrapper.gds, has DRC violations.

Yet at the end of the precheck run i get:

[INFO] - {{SUCCESS}} All Checks Passed !!!

What should I make of this? I don't assume that is really the checks. Any thoughts? Also the when i open the marker database in klayout the highlighted locations make no sense.

Hello, I have a problem with setting up the standart cells for use in xschem. I can make something with components from the sky130_fd_pr folder, and their model is connected in the right way to the symbol by the open pkd system. But I wanted to used standart cell D-FF (for my SAR logic) , but it looks like this symbol isn't connected to it's model? Did somebody else encountered this problem? I also can't run the tests_stdcells, I will place the spice netlist, output file with the errors and a picture of the folder adres of the model in attachment. I'm not sure this is both due to the same problem, because I can't run any of the test scripts , not only the digital cells. (they do generate different errors (digital and analog testscript), so there is something extra wrong with the std cells). I run everything at batch mode at the moment, could that be a problem? (I do work on a windows PC but tried to install everything by use of cygwin) Have a nice day kind regards

@User from what i can see in the netlist there is a duplicate line:

.lib /usr/local/share/pdk/sky130A/libs.tech/ngspice/sky130.lib.spice tt

remove one of these lines.

yep, um. Weirdly, as the browser renders the svg, the units aren't visible, but when I export it as a png through imagemagick, they do show 🤷
